Neela is a reconstructive plastic surgeon and an advocate for health equity, gender equity, and diversity and inclusion – and one of Australia’s leading doctors involved in helping refugees to receive better health care.
A seasoned public speaker, Neela also writes for some of our favourite publications and appears on The Drum.
Her debut novel is The Registrar – a fast-paced psychological thriller told with compassion, skill and emotional heart. It’s a gripping and moving story that goes behind the headlines to reveal the human experience of being both doctor and patient in a medical system at breaking point.
